The Major Gregory R. Hawkins Boxing Club was started in the year 2001. The boxing program is operated through The Saint Louis Police Athletic League (P.A.L.). Police Officer Reginald (Reggie) Williams heads up a team of coaches, which is comprised of Saint Louis City Police Officer, Ryan Cousins, and three community coaches, Rayshell Jackson, Micheal Kennell, and Rock Richards. This coaching team has worked with over tow hundred and fifty boxers in the past three years. The Major Hawkins Boxing Club currently consist seventy athletes with forty five active boxers which includes five female boxers. Williams and Cousins have coached on both regional and national for U.S.A. boxing. The Major Hawkins Boxing Club have traveled throughout the United States competing against some of the top boxers in the world.
